Trainee Dispenser – Pharmacy Assistant (London)

About the role

Join a busy retail pharmacy team as a Trainee Dispenser and support pharmacists in delivering safe, efficient healthcare services. You will work on the shop floor, building relationships with patients while completing a nationally recognised NVQ2 Dispenser training programme.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
• Dispense prescriptions, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection of medicines.
• Assist other healthcare professionals in managing pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients on medicines and refer complex queries to the pharmacist.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients in managing repeat prescriptions and medication adherence.
• Use evolving store technologies to improve dispensing efficiency and patient safety.

Required profile

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 training.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship).
• Experience in a community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.
