Trainee Financial Planner – £42k Salary, Bonus & Hybrid Working

About the role

This is a trainee position with a well‑established Chartered Independent Financial Planning firm. You will join a client bank of roughly £40 million AUM inherited from a retiring adviser and receive full training, mentoring and ongoing support to become a qualified Financial Planner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop personalised financial plans covering pensions, investments, protection, estate and intergenerational wealth.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships while delivering high‑quality advice.
• Collaborate with a dedicated administrator and paraplanning team to prepare recommendations.
• Utilise the firm’s technology platform and AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Progress towards Chartered status through study support and exam days.

Required profile

• Experience as a paraplanner with some client‑facing exposure, or a trainee adviser seeking the next step.
• Strong commitment to professional development and obtaining Chartered qualifications.
• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial planning principles and products.
• Familiarity with pension, investment and protection solutions.
