Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician – Field Based

About the role

This is a full‑time, field‑based trainee position for a Fire Extinguisher Technician. You will work across the South East, representing the company on client sites and helping keep workplaces safe and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and test fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels.
• Install and commission new extinguishers, signage and other fire safety equipment.
• Carry out fire safety signage surveys and report non‑compliance.
• Communicate professionally with clients and document findings clearly.
• Lift equipment up to 15 kg and travel to various sites.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on attitude with a proactive mindset.
• Organised, able to manage your own day and travel across the region.
• Strong communicator who enjoys customer interaction.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Fire extinguisher servicing.
• Fire safety equipment installation.
• Fire safety signage surveying.
