Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Engineering Recruitment

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our engineering recruitment team in Warrington. This hybrid position offers a structured training programme and the chance to develop a career in a fast‑growing sector, working with both clients and highly skilled engineering candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and client companies.
• Source, engage and interview engineering professionals through multiple channels.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from initial contact to successful placement.
• Advertise vacancies and proactively search for suitable talent.
• Negotiate salaries, fees and offers on behalf of clients.
• Maintain accurate records of candidates and client interactions.
• Contribute to individual and team sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and ambition to build a recruitment career.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence speaking with people on the phone and face‑to‑face.
• Resilience and determination to overcome setbacks.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with experience in sales, customer service or business development are welcome.
