Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Manchester

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Manchester City Centre office. You will receive a six‑week training academy and the chance to develop a career in specialist engineering recruitment, working with mid to senior level roles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job spec analysis to candidate placement.
• Create and publish job adverts and proactively source specialist candidates.
• Qualify and screen candidates via phone and video interviews.
• Coordinate interview schedules, offers and onboarding processes.
• Gather market intelligence to grow our share in the engineering sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing client businesses.
• Sell recruitment services and pitch for retained assignments.

Required profile

• Highly driven and ambitious with a strong desire to learn.
• Experience of building relationships and working to targets, preferably in a sales environment.
• Thirst for knowledge, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
