Trainee Service Technician – Portsmouth

About the role

Medstrom Ltd is seeking a motivated Trainee Service Technician to join its Portsmouth team. You will support the delivery, set‑up, maintenance and collection of medical equipment for patients and clinical environments across Portsmouth, West Sussex and Hampshire.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clean, ready‑to‑use medical products to customer sites and collect them after use.
• Decontaminate, disinfect, function‑check, repair and perform electrical safety tests on returned equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, delivery and collection activities.
• Manage product stock and spare‑parts inventory.
• Carry out product modifications, demonstrations and basic training for staff.
• Keep the work environment tidy and safe.

Required profile

• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• Motivated, customer‑focused attitude with a can‑do mindset.
• Interest in developing a career in medical equipment service.

Required skills

• Mechanical background or knowledge.
• Electrical background or knowledge.
• Ability to perform electrical safety testing.
