Training Champion

About the role

The Training Champion will join the Supply Chain Training Team to deliver a broad range of mandatory health & safety and systems training across the site. Working Monday‑Friday, you will ensure that all operational training is up‑to‑date, engaging and aligned with company values.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mandatory H&S training (manual handling, site inductions) and systems training (WAMAS, WMS).
• Conduct practical, work‑based assessments and sign off colleagues as competent.
• Review and amend SOPs, risk assessments and other site processes.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely communication of competency status.
• Design and update training materials, using PowerPoint and other tools.
• Act as a cultural ambassador, motivating new and existing staff.
• Build strong relationships with H&S, HR, Finance and operational managers.
• Undertake operational duties during quieter training periods and carry out site inductions.

Required profile

• Experience delivering H&S and systems training in a warehouse or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs, risk assessments and compliance procedures.
• Ability to assess competence, provide constructive feedback and sign off staff.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and the ability to create engaging training content.
