Transport Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Transport Coordinator to join a well‑established logistics operation in Bracknell. You will be responsible for planning daily vehicle schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all transport activities comply with safety and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks to drivers and support staff.
• Adjust plans quickly to accommodate additional requests or unexpected changes.
• Monitor staff performance, maintain service standards, and enforce safety policies.
• Schedule vehicle servicing, inspections, and manage breakdowns.
• Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular management reports.
• Manage customer expectations professionally and handle conflict resolution.
• Oversee staff absences and ensure continuity of operations.

Required profile

• Knowledge of planning and scheduling processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and deadline‑driving skills.
• Experience analysing data and producing reports.
• Effective negotiation and relationship‑management capabilities.
