Transport Manager

About the role

Airparks is seeking a Transport Manager to lead passenger transport operations at its Luton site. You will be responsible for keeping the fleet safe, compliant and on‑time while developing a high‑performing driver team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the fleet – coordinate with maintenance providers and vehicle suppliers to ensure all vehicles are safe, road‑ready and compliant.
• Develop drivers – coach, train and monitor drivers on safety standards, best practices and customer service.
• Ensure legislative compliance – stay up‑to‑date with transport regulations and embed them into daily operations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day logistics – schedule fuel deliveries, conduct driver inductions, verify licences and keep operations running smoothly under pressure.
• Collaborate with site managers, operations, finance and external partners to deliver a seamless customer journey.
• Identify and mitigate risks – spot potential issues early and adapt quickly when plans change.
• Drive continuous improvement – propose new ideas for fleet maintenance, operational efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in passenger transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of drivers.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.
