Transportation Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a growing logistics business based in Stowmarket, is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to join the operations team. The role involves coordinating daily transport activities, container movements and LCL transport while maintaining high service standards for customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Input and maintain transport bookings within the company’s operational software.
• Handle incoming telephone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information across internal transport and operational systems.
• Manage designated customer accounts and maintain strong working relationships.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties to support operational needs.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UK geography.
• Minimum two years’ experience in transport, distribution or logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to solve problems quickly.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Self‑motivated and driven to succeed in a growing business.
