About the role
This is a term‑time only position for an Unqualified English Teacher in a high‑achieving mixed secondary school (11‑18) in Havering. You will use your English degree to support planning and deliver engaging lessons for students from Year 7 to Year 13, gaining hands‑on classroom experience.
Key responsibilities
- Support the English department by assisting with lesson planning and delivery across KS3‑KS5.
- Teach engaging English lessons to Year 7‑Year 13 pupils.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and support student development.
- Collaborate with experienced teachers to refine teaching strategies.
Required profile
- Recent English graduate with a strong desire to become a qualified teacher.
- Confident, enthusiastic and able to work with a diverse student body.
- Committed to professional growth and willing to undertake teacher training in the future.
