Urban Driver Apprentice – 7.5t Licence (15‑month)

About the role

DX Network Services is offering a 15‑month Urban Driver Apprenticeship that leads to a Category C1 (7.5t) licence. Apprentices will learn professional driving, CPC certification and a range of logistics tasks while working towards a full‑time driver position.

Key responsibilities

• Represent DX professionally at all times.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects and complete paperwork.
• Load deliveries safely, scan products with DX equipment and ensure correct routing.
• Drive vehicles in a safe, legal manner complying with company and statutory requirements.
• Perform non‑driving duties such as office work, driver‑mate support and warehousing during training.
• Report on‑road issues to the traffic office promptly.
• Handle customer interactions politely and ensure deliveries arrive in excellent condition.

Required profile

• Eligibility to undertake a 15‑month apprenticeship.
• Willingness to obtain a Category C1 (7.5t) licence and CPC licence.
• Ability to work on‑site in Leeds and follow DX health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for paperwork and scanning tasks.
