Distribution Coordinator

About the role

The Distribution Coordinator will ensure the highest standards of customer service by planning and delivering orders on time while supporting the company’s EBIT goals. This role works closely with commercial, operations and transport teams to create an efficient distribution plan for Breedon Group’s construction materials.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of production and transport capacity to influence distribution planning.
• Capture and enter customer orders accurately in Breedon’s systems, following defined processes.
• Build and optimise a distribution plan that meets customer needs and balances efficiency across teams.
• Contact customers the day before delivery to confirm schedules and manage any changes.
• Ensure compliance with transport and distribution procedures and maintain data integrity.
• Develop strong phone relationships with customers to identify sales opportunities and inform the Commercial Team.
• Monitor and influence performance KPIs such as plan adherence to improve customer experience.
• Implement changes aligned with Customer & Commercial Excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Effective communicator and facilitator able to collaborate across multiple teams and levels.
• Self‑starter with a commercial focus, capable of making independent decisions to improve outcomes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment.
• Experience handling operations and logistics challenges while maintaining a customer‑centric approach.

Required skills
