US Private Client Tax Assistant Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a US Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing team in London. The role involves handling complex cross-border tax matters for high-net-worth individuals and supporting the development of our US tax practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the end-to-end US tax compliance process.
• Prepare and review US tax returns of varying complexity.
• Advise clients on US/UK tax and residency issues.
• Support projects related to domicile, residence and cross-border tax matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and manage portfolios.
• Delegate work, mentor junior team members and support their development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different teams and international locations.

Required profile

• EA and ATT qualified.
• Strong experience in US private client tax compliance and review.
• Good understanding of the Substantial Presence Test, Statutory Residence Test, and domicile/residency principles.
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
• Proactive approach and desire to take ownership of your career.

Required skills

• CCH Axcess (preferred).
