Vehicle Technician – After‑sales Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join the after‑sales team of a busy main dealer in Watford. The role offers clear progression into supervisory positions and includes a competitive uncapped earnings package.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards and timings.
• Produce accurate diagnostic reports and document all work carried out.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Mentor and support other technicians as required.
• Develop towards Assistant Manager responsibilities.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a prestige dealership or similar environment.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service standards.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of output.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Motivated, target‑driven and adaptable in a busy workshop.

Required skills

• Vehicle servicing and repair to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnostic equipment usage.
• High‑voltage (EV/Hybrid) systems – preferred.
