Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service Centre

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy service centre in Southampton. You will work in a reputable automotive organisation delivering high‑quality repairs and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics, repairs and routine servicing on a wide range of vehicles.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and agreed timeframes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all tasks completed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop procedures.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest vehicle technologies and industry developments.
• Provide technical support and excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in light vehicle repair or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a busy automotive environment.
• Accreditations such as Master Technician or dealership‑specific certifications are a plus.
• VAG experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of quality and customer care.

Required skills

• Light vehicle repair (Level 3 qualification).
• Vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer equipment.
• Familiarity with VAG (Volkswagen Group) systems.
• Master Technician certification (optional).
