Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service Specialist

About the role

Our client, a reputable automotive dealership in Manchester, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their modern workshop. The role involves delivering high‑quality servicing, diagnostics and warranty repairs in a well‑equipped environment with manufacturer support and ongoing training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle servicing and routine maintenance, including fluid changes and component replacements.
• Carry out diagnostic assessments and warranty repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Complete digital job cards and detailed reports for all work undertaken.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) to ensure safety and reliability.
• Adhere to safety standards and manufacturer procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Support team members and uphold high standards of customer service and quality.

Required profile

• Recognised Level 3 automotive qualification (e.g., IMI, City & Guilds) or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, including warranty work and routine servicing.
• Strong diagnostic ability and thorough knowledge of vehicle systems.
• MOT licence is highly desirable; full training provided if not held.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Eagerness to develop within a manufacturer‑supported training environment.
