Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our busy, family‑run workshop in Windlesham. Established in 1974, we combine modern equipment with traditional values and place a strong emphasis on customer relationships and excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, clutches and timing belts (wet‑belt experience a plus).
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics to accurately identify faults.
• Carry out MOT testing for Class 4 vehicles.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed.
• Support ongoing professional development and training.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT qualification and Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification.
• Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Enthusiasm for working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

• Competitive salary £38,000‑£42,000 per year, dependent on experience.
