Vice President – EMEA FIG Insurance Investment Banking (London)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated banker to join a dynamic EMEA FIG Insurance team in London. You will lead execution of complex M&A and capital‑markets transactions while providing strategic advice to insurance clients across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the origination and execution of complex M&A and capital‑markets transactions for insurance clients, including buy‑side, sell‑side, carve‑outs, take‑privates and portfolio sales.
• Oversee financial analysis, valuation and modelling (DCF, comparable companies, merger models, LBO, accretion/dilution) ensuring analytical rigor and accuracy.
• Develop and present strategic advice and pitch materials to board‑level executives and contribute to pipeline generation aligned with EMEA insurance sector themes.
• Coordinate workstreams with internal product partners (ECM, DCM, LevFin, Ratings) and external advisers across jurisdictions, managing due diligence, documentation and negotiations from pitch to close.
• Mentor and manage analysts and associates, fostering their development and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 7‑9 years of investment banking experience, preferably within Financial Institutions Group or insurance coverage.
• Proven track record of executing M&A and capital‑markets transactions for insurance or related clients.
• Strong client‑facing skills with ability to interact with senior executives and board members.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Financial modeling (DCF, LBO, merger models, comparable analysis).
• Valuation techniques and quantitative analysis.
• Knowledge of insurance sector products and regulatory environment.
