Vice President, Indirect Tax – London

About the role

As a Vice President in the Indirect Tax team, you will join JPMorgan Chase's Global Investment Bank in London. You will work across the EMEA region, providing VAT advisory and risk‑management support to a wide range of banking businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the Global Investment Bank line‑of‑business models in multiple EMEA locations and support product and territory expansion.
• Transform existing tax processes to improve management information, reporting efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Evaluate and implement new technology solutions that enhance the indirect tax profile.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of local VAT regimes and advise on their application to banking products and transactions.
• Communicate VAT risks clearly to tax and non‑tax colleagues and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide advisory services to senior internal stakeholders and collaborate with external tax advisors.
• Partner with corporate tax, legal, finance, operations and other business functions on indirect tax matters.

Required profile

• Accounting or tax qualification (e.g., ICAEW or CTA).
• VAT advisory experience at least at Manager level in a Big 4 firm or equivalent in‑house role.
• Strong understanding of UK and EU VAT principles and compliance processes.
