Visual Inspector

About the role

We are seeking seven Visual Inspectors to join a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Swindon. The role involves manually inspecting filled vials and other containers to ensure they meet strict quality standards before moving further in the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct manual visual inspections of filled vials under controlled conditions.
• Identify and remove defective products, including visible particles, scratches, cracks, chips, volume issues, and container‑closure defects.
• Separate accepted and rejected products accurately and complete inspection records.
• Report abnormalities or quality concerns to supervisors and maintain GMP, GDP, and data‑integrity compliance.
• Participate in visual‑assessment training, qualification activities, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• GCSE‑level Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Good visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses).
• Ability to maintain high concentration for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable, self‑motivated work approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
• Knowledge of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) standards.
• Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for visual inspection.

What we offer

• £13.86 per hour plus a 22% shift allowance.
• Full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract (37.5 hours/week).
• Shift patterns: 07:00‑15:00 or 15:00‑23:00, Monday‑Friday.
