Volunteer Crèche Worker

About the role

Join CrossReach’s Bluebell Perinatal Service in Glasgow as a Volunteer Crèche Worker. You will support parents attending therapeutic counselling by caring for their children in a calm, safe, and nurturing crèche environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, maintain and tidy the crèche space before and after sessions.
• Welcome children and parents warmly, creating a friendly atmosphere.
• Provide a safe, age‑appropriate environment for children up to five years old.
• Facilitate play, creativity and child‑led activities.
• Attend to basic care needs such as feeding and nappy changing when required.
• Follow all policies on confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety.

Required profile

• Caring, patient and compassionate with an interest in supporting young children and families.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Reliability, emotional resilience and adherence to agreed policies.
• Childcare experience is helpful but not essential – training will be provided.

Required skills
