About the role
The Ward Clerk (AP) provides essential administrative and housekeeping support to the Ward Manager, nursing team and medical staff within an NHS Scotland hospital ward. This part‑time position ensures smooth communication between patients, relatives and the ward while maintaining high standards of service.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Ward Manager and nursing team with housekeeping standards and ward environment.
- Facilitate effective communication between the public, patients and ward staff.
- Perform all administrative tasks delegated by the nurse in charge.
- Contribute to the efficient delivery of services within the unit.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Current membership of the PVG Scheme (or willingness to obtain it before starting).
- Ability to work part‑time on‑site in a hospital setting.
