Warehouse & Logistics Team Manager - Ambient

About the role

Morrisons is recruiting a Warehouse & Logistics Team Manager for its distribution site at Junction 41 Industrial Estate, Kenmore Road, Wakefield. The site runs a 24/7 operation with more than 1,000 colleagues on site. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with a night shift from 21:00 to 05:00.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and communicate with the team so it works efficiently in goods in, picking and loading.
• Manage people to deliver the best possible service to customers.
• Develop talent in the team through coaching and guidance.
• Set targets, review progress and create plans to improve performance.
• Resolve operational problems and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and deliver KPIs, taking action to ensure they are met.

Required profile

• 2+ years in a warehouse or logistics FMCG environment.
• Previous experience managing a fast-paced FMCG logistics or warehouse team; team management experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work at pace, think outside the box and act as a true people person.
