Warehouse Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a specialist wheelchair equipment depot, ensuring that all items are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. You will supervise depot staff and field service engineers, manage the on‑call rota and maintain high health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, assembly and dispatch of wheelchair equipment, including maintenance, adjustments and pre‑delivery inspections.
• Maintain accurate stock records in the warehouse management system and produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Recruit, train, appraise and motivate warehouse staff and field service engineers to meet productivity targets.
• Manage the on‑call rota, decontamination area and recycling processes in line with MHRA guidelines.
• Coordinate van runs with customer service, ensuring orders are closed correctly each day.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse teams and field service personnel.
• Strong understanding of health‑and‑safety and decontamination procedures.
• Ability to plan capacity, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
