Warehouse Operations Manager (Lutterworth)

About the role

Are you passionate about leading warehouse operations? Movianto UK is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join the Lutterworth team! You will be supporting government healthcare contracts and ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient distribution of products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day warehouse operation, ensuring customer and contractual requirements are achieved while maintaining high standards of service, quality and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, MHRA, health and safety legislation and company policies, maintaining operational readiness for audits.
• Lead, coach and develop warehouse teams, promoting operational excellence and a high‑performing culture.
• Monitor KPIs such as service levels, productivity, inventory accuracy, quality and cost, taking corrective action when needed.
• Oversee inventory control and all inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound activities to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage resource planning, labour allocation and budget controls, collaborating with transport, quality, customer services and contract management teams.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, maintain business continuity and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions.
• Provide regular operational performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, distribution and supply chain processes within a regulated environment.
• Understanding of GDP, MHRA requirements, quality management systems, health and safety legislation and healthcare logistics compliance.
• Experience managing government, public sector, NHS or highly regulated customer contracts.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in budget management, resource planning, cost control and using operational data to drive performance improvements.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high‑performing teams while promoting teamwork, engagement and inclusion.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure, manage multiple priorities and respond positively to changing business requirements.
• Strong customer focus with a proactive, results‑oriented approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Demonstrates integrity, accountability, professionalism, resilience, adaptability and a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
• Ability to lead change initiatives and effectively manage organisational transformation.
