Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy, fast‑paced warehouse in Banbury. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of operatives, ensuring daily targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role offers a chance to develop your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse operations team.
• Allocate workloads, manage changing priorities and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Monitor operational performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Coach, mentor and support team members in their development.
• Assist with training and induction of new employees.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.
• Promote and maintain excellent health and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and wider leadership team.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, organised and confident leading from the front.
• Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, distribution or production environment.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and support colleagues.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to allocate work and manage shifting priorities.
