Web Developer – Real‑time Applications (Eastbourne)

About the role
Arc IT Recruitment is seeking a Web Developer to join its progressive, internet‑based team in Eastbourne. You will work on real‑time services and web application management systems that are core to the business, with a clear path towards a senior or lead position.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance real‑time web applications.
- Work across server‑side, database and front‑end layers.
- Contribute to architecture, performance optimisation and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of commercial web development experience.
- Strong communication skills and ambition to progress.
Required skills
- Server‑side coding using PHP.NET or similar technologies.
- Front‑end development with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
- SQL Server and SQL scripting.
- Understanding of security, accessibility, usability and SEO.
What we offer
- Permanent contract.
- Salary £45,000–£50,000 DOE.
- Location in Eastbourne, South East England.
