Weekend Housekeeper

About the role

Join Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes as a Weekend Housekeeper, working 16 hours each week to keep a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Your shifts run from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, supporting a range of mental health services, including specialist deaf and emergency admissions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly cleaning and general housekeeping duties across bedrooms, en‑suite facilities, and communal areas such as the gym, laundry, kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and ensure all equipment is clean and well‑maintained.
• Follow safe working practices and adhere to health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.

Required profile

• Friendly, conscientious and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work is desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations is desirable.
