Weighbridge Operator

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and diligent Weighbridge Operator to join our team in Totternhoe. The role combines weighbridge operation with general administration and customer service duties, ensuring smooth site operations for a diverse range of visitors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge and accurately record weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Maintain strict compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Keep precise records of all transactions and generate required reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service to drivers, customers, and visitors.
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and handling telephone enquiries.
• Assist in coordinating recovery collections for end‑of‑life vehicles, including pricing guidance, route planning, and customer liaison.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach to health and safety and operational discipline.

What we offer

• Salary: £34,000–£35,000 per annum.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
• Working hours: Monday‑Friday 08:00–17:00 with a one‑hour lunch break, plus four hours on Saturday mornings.
• Option to choose a morning or afternoon off during the week to accommodate Saturday work.
