About the role
Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to join the team at Rowan Court Care Home in Newcastle‑under‑Lyme. You will design and deliver a varied programme of activities that promote physical, psychological and social wellbeing for our residents, while upholding their dignity, independence and choice.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed life stories for each resident by listening to them and their families.
- Plan, submit and implement a monthly wellbeing and activity plan together with a weekly overview.
- Organise activities, events and outings, encouraging participation from staff, relatives and visitors.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment that reflects the professional image of the home.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience working with older adults in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
- Proven ability to organise activities and events for senior residents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to delivering high‑quality, stimulating programmes.
