Workshop & Fleet Supervisor

About the role

This is a key supervisory position within a leading lifting and heavy equipment business. You will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the workshop and oversee the fleet maintenance programme, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of technicians.
• Plan and prioritise workloads and maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance schedules for optimal equipment and personnel deployment.
• Coordinate inspections, repairs and maintenance across the fleet.
• Ensure all work complies with SHEQ standards, company procedures, legislation and manufacturer instructions.
• Manage spare‑parts procurement to guarantee availability when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in workshop operations and team performance.

Required profile

• Strong technical understanding with the confidence to support technicians.
• Solid knowledge of equipment maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Experience in a workshop, fleet, plant, crane, lifting or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous, though experienced technicians looking to move into an office‑based role are also considered.
