Workshop Manager (IT)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Workshop Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our busy workshop. You will ensure that hardware is built, repaired, tested and deployed to the highest standards while supporting project delivery and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop activities including hardware builds, repairs, testing and configuration.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of engineers and apprentices.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, manage procurement activities and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Projects and Procurement teams to meet delivery timelines.
• Monitor workshop performance, capacity and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT workshop or Managed Service Provider environment.
• Strong knowledge of PCs, laptops, servers and other IT hardware.
• Experience with stock management and procurement processes.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
