Workshop Technician

About the role

Our client is a forward‑thinking, market‑leading company in the fastener and fixings sector, operating across the UK and Ireland. As part of a multinational group, they are expanding and need a reliable Workshop Technician to join their dynamic workshop team in Swindon.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, service, clean and disassemble a range of pneumatic and battery‑operated tools.
• Work efficiently as part of a small team to meet daily targets.
• Prepare worksheets and perform accurate data entry.
• Develop and maintain safe working systems.
• Visit customer sites to carry out repairs and installations.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge relevant to workshop work.
• Previous experience in a workshop environment.
• Good computer and IT skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Self‑motivated, result‑driven and flexible.

Required skills

• Repair of pneumatic tools.
• Repair of battery‑operated tools.
• Computer/IT proficiency for data entry and worksheet preparation.
