Wrap Around Care Co-ordinator

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Wrap Around Care Co-ordinator to lead our after‑school provision at John Rankin Infant and Nursery School. You will create a safe, nurturing environment where children aged 3–11 can enjoy high‑quality care, enrichment and play beyond the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support social, emotional and developmental needs.
• Oversee the daily organisation of the wrap‑around provision, ensuring smooth operation.
• Support, direct and mentor colleagues working within the care setting.
• Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and school staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with school‑aged and nursery‑aged children.
• Positive, caring and patient approach.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and sensitively.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
• Level 3 qualification such as NVQ/CACHE Level 3 or equivalent (essential).
• Paediatric first aid qualification (desirable).
