Year 5 Primary Teacher – Blackpool

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Primary Teacher to join a vibrant Blackpool school from September 2026 through the Autumn term. The successful candidate will create a structured, positive learning environment and help pupils transition confidently towards Year 6.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess creative lessons for a Year 5 class.
• Maintain accurate reporting and record‑keeping.
• Implement the school’s behaviour policy consistently and fairly.
• Prepare students for the move to Year 6 by fostering independence and academic confidence.
• Participate in staff meetings and school‑wide events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Commitment to the inclusive, community‑focused ethos of Blackpool schools.
• Eligibility for an enhanced DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.
