12‑Month Risk Advisory Internship – Structuring

About the role

Join the Risk Advisory team within the Global Markets Division for a 12‑month internship focused on structuring and risk analysis. You will apply quantitative and analytical skills to help clients manage exposures to FX, interest rates, and commodity prices while gaining exposure to a fast‑paced investment‑banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed risk analyses and presentations to identify and quantify client risk exposures linked to market variables.
• Develop and propose cost‑effective hedging and financing solutions that meet risk‑mitigation goals and hedge‑accounting standards.
• Collaborate with Corporate Sales, Financing, and Coverage teams to tailor solutions for corporate and financial‑sponsor clients worldwide.
• Lead or contribute to automation projects using Python or VBA to improve tool efficiency and analytical capacity.
• Conduct thematic research on market trends, geopolitical events, and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Exposure to an investment‑banking environment, preferably in derivatives or fixed‑income markets.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Highly motivated, flexible, proactive with strong ethical standards.

Required skills

• Strong programming skills – Python preferred; C/C++, VBA, Matlab, R, SQL acceptable.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret corporate financial statements.
