3D Modeler – All Levels (Hybrid, London)

About the role

ILM is seeking talented 3D Modelers of all experience levels to join its London studio. You will help bring characters, creatures and hard‑surface assets to life, working closely with texture, rigging and animation teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build 3D characters, digital doubles and creatures with a focus on anatomy, form and realism.
• Create hard‑surface models and support environmental asset construction when needed.
• Use advanced modeling tools to meet both artistic and technical production requirements.
• Collaborate with animators, texture artists and other modelers to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the pipeline.
• Participate in creative reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Professional VFX modeling and sculpting experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
• Excellent spatial awareness and ability to construct complex hard‑surface assets.
• Experience working on feature‑film or comparable production pipelines.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork across departments.

• Node‑based networks and procedural workflows (a plus)
• Subdivision surface modeling
• Fundamental hard‑surface modeling techniques
