Accountant – Finance Team (London)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Accountant to join a growing finance team in London. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes and ensuring regulatory compliance. It is ideal for a part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to develop in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP / IFRS
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions where required
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT returns and corporation tax support
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
• Assist with ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or newly qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Minimum 4‑5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
