Accountant – London – Up to £55,000 p.a.

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant to join a fast‑growing media‑related SME in London. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the day‑to‑day transactional finance function and support the business as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Liaise with company solicitors on finance transactions held in legal accounts.
• Strengthen internal finance processes and bring receivable and payable activities fully in‑house.
• Resolve finance queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage sales and purchase ledgers, maintaining accurate records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and third‑party ledgers.
• Maintain the nominal ledger and post journals as required.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
