Accounts Payable Clerk – £18/hr, Office Based, 3‑Month Contract

About the role

The Accounts Payable Clerk will ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations for a fast‑moving office in Uxbridge. Working within the finance team, you will maintain strong financial controls while building positive relationships with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices, performing three‑way matching of purchase orders, goods received notes and invoices.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies by liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
• Prepare and execute supplier payment runs in line with agreed terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier records and respond promptly to queries.
• Process employee expense claims where required.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
• Support the wider finance team with administrative and ad‑hoc duties while ensuring compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or finance administration role.
• Good understanding of accounts payable processes and financial controls.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
