Accounts & Tax Manager – West London

About the role

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in West London to recruit an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager. The role involves managing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services. You will report directly to the partners and play a key part in the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Oversee personal and corporation tax compliance work and review tax computations.
• Ensure tax deadlines are met and act as the main point of contact for clients.
• Identify opportunities to add value through proactive advice and support.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Support development and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
• Work closely with partners and senior stakeholders on client matters.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts and taxation.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience.
