About the role
The A&R Coordinator will support the UK A&R team at Sony Music Publishing, assisting managers in nurturing songwriters and coordinating studio sessions. This role combines administrative support with proactive relationship‑building to help drive the creative process.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and schedule studio sessions, ensuring all participants have correct details (date, time, location, contacts).
- Maintain managers’ calendars, diarise sessions and follow up after recordings to collect songs, stems and feedback.
- Act as a liaison between songwriters and managers, building and maintaining relationships.
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support: arrange meetings, manage inboxes, take minutes and circulate summaries.
- Prepare meeting rooms, handle publishing queries and collate songwriter split information for registration and audio ingestion.
- Prioritise tasks for managers, work independently on ad‑hoc assignments and ensure timely completion of action items.
Required profile
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in music publishing and a willingness to build relationships with creative talent.
Required skills
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., email, calendar, word processing).
