Aspiring Educational Psychologist / SEN Teaching Assistant (Camberley)

About the role

This specialist school in Camberley is seeking a compassionate Aspiring Educational Psychologist / Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Special Needs and SEMH needs. The role offers a valuable entry point into the SEN sector, providing hands‑on experience alongside therapists, counsellors and other professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the learning experience.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with learning, physical, sensory or behavioural challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with pupils and follow safeguarding guidelines in the classroom.
• Attend staff meetings, complete relevant CPD and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.

Required profile

• Compassionate, caring approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work both individually and in small groups with pupils.
• Right to work in the UK, ability to commute to Camberley and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
