Aspiring Social Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant (Day Rate £93-£105)

About the role
This specialist school in Guildford is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Aspiring Social Worker/SEN Teaching Assistant. The role offers a foot‑in‑the‑door opportunity to work with children and young people who have special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health challenges, while gaining experience alongside therapists and counsellors.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with delivering the learning experience.
- Provide dedicated support to pupils with learning, physical, sensory or behavioural challenges.
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support as required.
- Follow and implement safeguarding guidelines in the classroom.
- Attend staff meetings and complete relevant CPD activities.
Required profile
- Compassionate and dedicated attitude towards children with special needs.
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Ability to commute to Guildford.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

- Term‑time contract, Monday‑Friday 08:30‑15:30.
- Day rate of £93‑£105, PAYE.
- Start date in September with trial days to ensure a good fit.
