Assistant Buyer – Women’s Ready‑to‑Wear

About the role

Browns Fashion is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Women’s Ready‑to‑Wear (RTW) department. You will work closely with the Buyer to develop and execute the buying strategy, helping the category achieve its growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in shaping the Women’s Designer RTW strategy and tactical plans.
• Research emerging designers, propose new brands, and support Browns’ role as an incubator for fresh talent.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure optimal stock positioning.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Brand Engagement, and Retail teams to drive commercial performance.
• Analyse sales data, monitor sell‑through, and implement trading actions to improve performance.
• Manage the reorder process, assess stock cover, and maximise seasonal opportunities.
• Oversee the Order Tracker during market, handle selections, orders, and brand communications.
• Maintain website data, flag discrepancies, and update internal attribution reports.
• Create vendor packs for buying meetings and share weekly sales reports.
• Support merchandising range plans, seasonal trend presentations, and administrative escalations.
