Assistant Consultant – Strategic Communications

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Consultant or Consultant to join Turley Strategic Communications, supporting the planning and delivery of communications campaigns that influence development proposals, regeneration projects and community engagement across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and evaluate communications campaigns that shape development proposals and drive regeneration initiatives.
• Prepare and coordinate public consultations, attending both online and in‑person events.
• Draft external collateral such as press releases, social‑media content and briefing papers.
• Monitor political developments and share insights with internal teams and external networks.
• Report on campaign performance and consultation activity.

Required profile

• Flexible, ‘can‑do’ attitude with a genuine passion for working with communities and creating inclusive places.
• Background in planning, geography, social sciences or communications is welcomed.
• Demonstrable interest in local and national politics and community engagement.
• Exceptional organisational abilities and the capacity to learn quickly.
• Ability to build relationships within a professional consultancy environment.
