Assistant Manager – Retail

About the role

Ardene is looking for a vibrant and motivated Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering sales targets, coaching staff, and ensuring smooth store operations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fashion retail and eager to lead a team in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing strategies to meet sales and profit budgets.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, restocking, merchandising, and customer service.
• Provide excellent customer service while coaching and developing team members.
• Process purchases at the register and ensure compliance with head‑office directives.
• Uphold company policies and standards as outlined in the employee manual.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Store Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of retail experience in a leadership role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong selling and customer‑service abilities.
• Excellent time‑management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks, take ownership, and lead a team positively and inclusively.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift boxes up to 30 lb.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
