Associate Systems Engineer – Tier 1/2 Support

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Associate Systems Engineer to join our Global Operations team. This role forms the foundational layer of our “Follow‑the‑Sun” support model, acting as the primary point of contact for technical triage and initial resolution of break‑fix tickets on our high‑performance SaaS trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, triaging incoming tickets for Linux/Windows systems, AWS instances and hardware.
• Diagnose authentication and authorization failures across hybrid environments (Active Directory, LDAP/SSSD, MFA/2FA, AWS IAM).
• Troubleshoot virtualization health and performance (Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift Virt, VMware vSphere/ESXi, KVM).
• Perform routine monitoring and health checks of global compute and storage services.
• Execute and maintain SOP runbooks for user access, instance provisioning and hardware checks.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and document incidents.
• Assist with automation scripts (Bash/Python) and Infrastructure‑as‑Code deployments.
• Contribute to internal knowledge base and participate in a 24/5 shift rotation.

Required profile

• Associate degree or relevant certification in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms and concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and/or Windows Server administration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Interest in learning scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑service focus.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to follow senior technical direction.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
