Audit Manager – Not for Profit (Social Housing & Charities)

About the role
We are partnering with a respected mid‑tier firm to hire an Audit Manager for its Not‑for‑Profit team, focusing on social housing providers and charities. The role involves managing a growing portfolio of regulated NFP clients while contributing to the firm’s sector growth strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead statutory audits for charities and registered social housing providers from planning through completion.
- Act as the primary contact for finance directors and board members.
- Manage and develop audit teams, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor budgets, control costs and deliver commercially viable engagements.
- Support business development activities targeting the not‑for‑profit sector.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
- Proven experience auditing charities and/or social housing entities.
- Understanding of Charity SORP and/or Housing SORP.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships and assignments.
